Grammar

“Grammar” is a direct comment on weaponized rhetoric and its role in the larger economy of violence. As its own language, violence has a syntax and morphology – a larger context imbuing meaning into the relationships between weapons, ammunition, armor, perpetrators, and victims. This piece is a full scale replica of a .357 Magnum Revolver, made entirely from select pages of a dictionary.

“Grammar” was featured in The Gun Show at Space One Eleven Arts Center in Birmingham, Alabama. The show featured works by Larry Jens Anderson, Derek Cracco, J DePlour, Darius Hill, Tom Hubbard, Valerie Mann, Jim Neel, Dread Scott, Kevin Shook, Larry Thompson.
